Terms of Service
Effective 25 September 2026
These terms are the rules for using Omeo: Talk to Strangers ("Omeo", "we", "us"), a random text-chat app that runs as an Activity inside Discord. By using Omeo, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Omeo.
The short version
- Omeo connects you with random strangers. Nobody's identity is checked, so stay careful.
- Be kind. No sexual content, harassment, hate, spam or scams.
- Never share personal information. Leave, block or report anyone who makes you uncomfortable.
- Breaking the rules gets you banned.
1. Who can use Omeo
You can use Omeo if you're allowed to use Discord: at least 13, or older where the law in your country requires it. You also have to follow Discord's Terms of Service and Community Guidelines while using Omeo. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms.
2. What Omeo is
Omeo pairs you with a random person for a one-on-one text chat. You'll be talking to people you don't know. Omeo doesn't verify anyone's identity, age, country or gender. Nicknames and profiles are chosen by users and may not be true.
3. Rules
When using Omeo, you must not:
- send sexual or sexually suggestive content, or anything graphic or gory;
- sexualise minors, or ask anyone who may be a minor for personal details, photos or to move to another app;
- harass, bully, threaten or intimidate anyone;
- send hate speech, or attack people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar traits;
- spam, advertise, or try to scam or phish anyone;
- share anyone else's personal information without their permission;
- encourage self-harm or suicide;
- pretend to be Discord or Omeo staff, or anyone else;
- use bots, scripts or automated tools, or try to get around filters, rate limits or bans, for example with another account;
- attack, overload, probe or disrupt Omeo or its servers;
- do anything illegal, or anything else that breaks Discord's rules.
4. Staying safe
- Never share your address, phone number, school, passwords or other personal information.
- Nobody from Omeo or Discord will ever ask for your password.
- You can leave any chat at any time. Use Block so you aren't matched with someone again, and Report to tell our moderators.
- The username swap only happens if you both agree. Once you share your Discord username, the other person can keep it, so only share it with people you trust.
- If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.
5. Moderation and bans
Omeo filters messages automatically, and moderators review reports. Your Discord account must be at least 7 days old to use Omeo. If you break these terms, we may end your chats, or ban you from Omeo temporarily or permanently. We can do this at our discretion and without warning, especially to protect other users. If you think a ban was a mistake, you can appeal in our Discord server.
We may report content that involves child sexual exploitation, or a real threat to someone's safety, to the relevant authorities.
6. Your messages
You're responsible for what you send. You keep any rights you have in your messages. You allow us to deliver them to the person you're chatting with, and, if the chat is reported, to use them to review the report. Chats aren't stored after they end, except as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. The service
Omeo is free. We may change, pause or stop any part of it at any time. Chats can end unexpectedly, for example while we release an update. If we ever offer paid features, they'll be sold through Discord and additional terms may apply.
"Omeo" and its logo belong to us. Discord is a trademark of Discord Inc. Omeo is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc. or Omegle.
8. Disclaimers and liability
Omeo is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't control what other users say or do, and we aren't responsible for their conduct, in Omeo or after you swap usernames.
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of Omeo. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us, which is currently nothing. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, or takes away rights you have as a consumer where you live.
9. Everything else
- You can stop using Omeo at any time. We can stop providing it to you if you break these terms.
- If we change these terms, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Using Omeo after a change means you accept the new terms.
- If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
